Summer drought hits the River Teme, Mid Wales

The summer heatwave of 2018 resulted in droughts up and down the country. CADSITE director Charlie Price took a visit to one of the areas affected, the River Teme in Mid Wales.

'I have spent many years exploring the River Teme’s valleys throughout Mid Wales, after all it is the place where I grew up and call it my ‘back garden’! It is a place where I regularly practice my flying skills whilst capturing shots of the amazing Mid Wales countryside. This summer though has been a bit different... Never have I seen the River Teme dry up before, even to the extent where the Environment Agency had to be called in to rescue fish from isolated pools! I captured these shots one morning during the heatwave in July. I knew that the Phantom 4 would be the best tool for recording this rare event, and I hope you would agree that the results are spectacular!'
